I'll be home for Christmas---just kidding!!

This blog is going to be short as I am so beyond depressed. I spent almost 12 hours with 2 cancelled flights at the airport today...

Portland does not like Christmas I decided. Needless to say, i will , in fact, NOT be going home for Christmas and being with my family on Christmas for the first time in YEARS.

I am really bummed. The first opening flight is of course the day after...I am going to spend more time trying to get different flights. I need to go. I have another crying session coming on.....

I'll be home for Christmas!!!

Christmas is basically here....My wonderful sister-in-law bought Andy a dress for Christmas and we are so in love with it!! She is so cute---isn't she? I am not sure what her deal is with her hand in her mouth.!!!
We are getting so excited to go to Oregon for Christmas. The entire family (minus the missionary---love you Elder Probert). It is going to be a blast.
I am going to be in Oregon for almost a month!

Because of that, I have no idea if I will be able to blog or not...
So---to everyone out there....We Wish You All a Very Merry Christmas!!! We hope you have a Happy Holiday.

We are so grateful for what Christmas really stands for. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, being brought to the world and the wonderful life he lead and the way he made it possible for us to all be together forever.

I heard that people are now pushing that we say HAPPY HOLIDAYS not referring to a Merry Christmas in our schools, in our place of work, etc. How terribly sad is that? I cannot even fathom the world if that is what becomes of it. How can you take Christ out of CHRISTMAS!!???

We hope you all reflect this time on the importance of family, of giving and of the true meaning and purpose of Christmas...that being the birth of our Saviour. Have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

So gross

WARNING--This posts contains graffic, gross info! I can't even look at it

What in the world are you looking at you ask??? I don't even know how to explain it.

There are a few ways to get rid of WARTS--freeze them, or have the doctor put some kind of solution on them that makes them explode into a ball of puss!!!

Why would someone choose the ball of puss and pain you ask? I have been asking that question myself and still am not coming up with a good answer. The doc may have suggested that it helps remove the warts better---we shall see...

A few months ago I did this "procedure" in the exact spot...Somehow, it made a RING of warts in the spot. So, I went to my brother-in-law the doctor to consult on wart removal.

Steve came with as he had some warts he needed removing, and I had a few others on my leg. He put a solution on it and it seemed fine, until we woke up the next morning to puss and pain...It has been a few days and isn't as big, but is still there...

WARTS ARE BAD

In her momma's pearls...and some more fun pics...

Posted by PicasaWhenever I go to put on any kind of jewlery, I have a fun shadow follow me. She has to get in my jewelry ( and I really don't have much) and put it on.

So, I put on this beaded necklace and she wears it every day and doesn't touch it. If I try to take it off, I am in BIG trouble. I love it. Love it. Love it.

I was feeding her a turkey caserol the other night...She has NEVER fallen asleep at the dinner table. I am so glad I captured this on film. I think it is so precious. I was busting after the fact...

Thanksgiving Day Recap

We were so happy and grateful we got to see my new nephew and our little cousin for the first time. Thanks to Heather's family for letting us crash the place and making us feel like home. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving

Why I am still sad-----------

I forgot my camera to document the day...

No matter how fun your day is, it just isn't the same without your husband there. WE MISSED YOU SWEETIE AND WERE THINKING OF YOU THE ENTIRE TIME!!

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and found things to be grateful for...I am grateful for charitable loving people, a family and a hubby who makes it possible for us to get all the things we need.

I got into it with a turkey...guess who won???

So, I got in a fight with the turkey today...Can you guess who won? Yes, it was definetly the turkey!!

Steve has to work tomorrow so we are having a me-him-and ANDY Thanksgiving today. Needless to say, I have NEVER made Thanksgiving dinner before, let alone a turkey...was a little overwhelmed. We thought we would make a joke of it, and if it all went bad then we could laugh about it and say we tried!!

I made a rasberry jello salad ( that is to die for) for dessert yesterday. Then on to the turkey...the first problem with the turkey=we only had it out to thaw for one day ( again, ignorant minds don't know it takes 2-3 days).
Thank heavens it isn't too huge and there are ways. Because of that, well, it makes things more complicated. I look at the turkey and I am told to take out the neck, heart and clean it out. Ok, so where exactly is all these things you are referring to?? I literally was wrestling with the turkey, taking scissors and cutting things up. I got junk ALL OVER THE PLACE!!
I have no idea what I am doing, and if I took everything out that I need. All I know is I have a turkey in the oven right now and so much more to do, yet, I am blogging. WISH ME LUCK!

The place we call home....

We thought we would give a tour of our new place...this is mainly for our family who knows the cinder block walls and small place we use to live in.

Love that we can hang things on the wall---and ALL THE SPACE! This is our little heaven and we are so appreciative of it!!

It is so close to Steve's work and the bus stop is right outside our door. We also have covered parking. THis really is the best place I have ever lived in since I was an adult!

NEW THINGS I HAVE NEVER HAD SINCE BEING MARRIED THAT I AM IN LOVE WITH--

  1. Dishwasher
  2. Washer and Dryer
  3. Upstairs and downstairs
  4. Covered parking
  5. A huge master bedroom
  6. Two closets
  7. Walls that aren't cinder blocks
  8. An entertainment center
  9. An elementary school playground in backyard
  10. Swamp cooler for summer ( never had any air conditioning)

Proud of Myself

So, this past week has been Steve's week on...which makes life interesting for the weekend since we have one car and the bus does not run on the weekends.

We have our in -laws truck here and I was planning on using it to drive to church. I get in the car and of course it doesn't work. So, I grab Andy, get her stroller all ready and book it to church.

Thank heavens the weather was great. The walk to church is all uphill...I made it in time for sacrament but I was sweating bullets and panting the whole time. Long story short---I almost just didn't go to church, but I am so glad I pushed myself and we were blessed. I was just rpoud of myself

on a different note--
THANKS FOR ALL THE ADVICE
I discovered that Andy does in fact have some molars coming in. I think it is a combination of that, the time change and her just growing. I appreciated all your advice---trying every little thing. She has slept a little better the past two days so I am not going insane! THANKS again everyone!
I just was proud that I did not go insane--I really was on the verge--I am not a pleasant person when I am sleep deprived. So, I guess that means I should go to sleep right now.

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am to a breaking point right now and I just want to rant, then ask for help!! Andy has not slept LITERALLY this whole week. She usually goes to bed at 7, wakes up at 7, takes a nap during the day...

Well--she has been going to bed at 8:30 or 9, waking up at 4 or 5 and NOT TAKING A NAP! Last night I almost lost it....We were at my friend Dave's play ( I will write about that in another post) and it wasn't over until after 9. She fell asleep after running and screaming right at the end. She woke up at 3 this morning, ready for the day and refused to take a nap.

I am so exhuasted, tired and onry , I feel I have nothing left in me. I was so tired today that I just sat and let Andy tear apart the house while I sobbed in the corner.

It is not because she does not wear herself out during the day...It is not because she goes to bed early. In fact, the later that I put her to bed it seems like the earlier she wakes up.

As I sat delirious today ( yes, I am going to bed right after this) I looked at her and Thanked heaven for my beautiful babe. She has been very clingy lately and I know those does are far too soon over. I love her so much. She really is a miracle and I would love to have 50 more miracles if it is possible.

So, any advice on how to keep sane and how to help her to sleep? Oh, she is also not sick so that is not the prob. Any suggestions?

Cleaning up???

Andy loves her Dadda so much. That is her favorite part of the day, laying and playing with dad.

She just loves chillin on her momma

I hardly ever put her in pig tails...She won't sit long enough for me to do it. So, I had to take pics while I could get the chance

What a silliness

Andy likes to spill her little puffs on the floor...The great gal is learning how to clean everything up as well....It is a slow process but you can't fault the gal..

THe worst night...with a bit of inspiration...

Andy's room has been funny with her heat lately. So, last night I felt I really needed to go check out the temp of her room. I walk in the room only to hear her gasping for air!!! It was like she wasn't breathing at all...

I look down at her and she is covered in throw up!! I scream out to Steve to come and help me (what a Hero). We immediately give Andy a bath...

Steve takes her downstairs, while I start a shower myself as alot got on me...Then Steve come running up and puts her in the shower with me. Needless to say, Andy had one more bath on top of that.

We decided to have a sleepover in the front room and lay down with towels and blankets. Well, Andy went for 6 hours straight, stopping to take a nap, then getting up, rolling over and throwing up.

I did at least three loads of laundry last night. TO sum up---I am so tired, I don't know why I am even writing...just cause. I am so glad that Steve was on his week off. I would have lost it without him. HE gave her a blessing and we just held her all night. I am so grateful I was inspired to go check on Andy---I don't think we would have heard her.

I am so grateful my husband has the priesthood and was inspired to give her a blessing. I would not have been able to do it without him by my side.Say a prayer for our little Angel.

Halloween 2008 in all it's glory

This Halloween I wasn't too inventive. We had Andy's cheerleader outfit, I wanted to get more use of it, and I wanted to match her. So, here you go. BYU cheerleader and the crazy fan. Note that I do have on BYU earings, socks, shoes and whatnot. I like to go more into it, but this was all I couldl muster this year.

Two Cheerleaders having a blast together.

Flirting with the QB. Really flirting with the QB. Oh my.........................
Just chillin' with her cousin.
I thought her cousin Josh and her were so dang cute together. Very typical behavior of cheerleader and football man.

With cousin Koda.

We went to Daddy's work to visit him there. She was a huge hit.

I have decided that Halloween is so much more fun with a little one. We went and saw some Aunt's, uncle's, cousin's and grandparents. Overall, I was exhausted. Considering you don't trick or treat as an adult, I think it was a success since I get her candy.

In light of the elections
I saw this on my friends blog and I thought it was too good not to post. So, for some Halloween fun that only cocmes around every four years---here you go....

Can you guess???

We have a new game we like to play at our house....Now that little Andrea Bev is little Miss Mischievious, she likes to get into everything, throw everything around, not eat her food and just loves watching her mom clean behind her ( right after she already cleaned it).

The game is called----"CAN YOU GUESS WHICH ROOM ANDY HAS BEEN IN?" . I bet you will only need one try....Now, in her defense...we did JUST move and there are still plenty of boxes to go through...So Can you guess???

I have actually been amazed at how clean everything has kept. The key is to just clean it when she goes to bed at night. I am so grateful to the relief society for helping with the boxes, the elder's quorum for helping move them and to my husband for doing everything!!! There is still alot to do, but at least we can live in it now and find everything we need.

WE LOVE OUR NEW PLACE AND OUR FUN NEW GAME!!
